Mother nature provided a beautiful blue sky and a bright shining sun to paint the picture perfect day for the first “CAR, TRUCK and BIKE SHOW” benefitting the Crime Victim’s Center. Needless to say, the event was a huge success and raised funds to help assure the continuation of the CVC vital services to sexual assault and other violent crime victims and families in our community.
Held on Sunday, October 1st, from noon to 4:00 at the Duck Hollow Golf Club, 91 show stopping vehicles were on display for over 250 enthusiasts to “cruise” and learn more from the proud owners.
Dash plaques and gift bags were given to the vehicle owners. Buster Boone was awarded the “Best of Show” trophy. Other trophies were presented to the best vehicle in year categories which spanned from 1900-present.
Complementing the show was a bake sale and Chinese Auction which featured a myriad of various creative theme baskets, gift cards, and other appealing gifts and décor.
Duck Hollow Golf Club provided refreshments and a delicious food menu was available for those wishing to get a bite to eat. Arnie Amber did a fantastic job of adding to the festive ambiance by providing the music throughout the day.
The CVC wishes to express its most heartfelt gratitude to Duck Hollow Golf Club for their partnership and collaboration. A special thank you to all the owners who joined in the show and displayed their pride and joy vehicles. You made the show possible. Our sincere appreciation to all the local businesses and friends who so generously donated to the Chinese Auction and bake sale. Thank you to the wonderful people who perused and enjoyed a delightful Sunday afternoon while supporting our agency. Your support and generosity were truly valued. The Crime Victims’ Center looks forward to seeing all of you and enjoying another great show in October 2018!
